Powa 0 Report post Posted June 25 (edited) Modding battle voices, intro and outro voices, and the final blow sfx is now possible. I've written a text guide for it, and a video guide will be made and posted here at some point. I will also be posting videos for my mods as I create them. SkyBladeCloud 20 Report post Posted Wednesday at 08:33 PM (edited) Pretty cool! As mentioned in one of the video comments though, this was already possible back in the day, even in the original Dissidia, before Duodecim: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZqSFAw3ZtA I did all the research on the SCD/SSCF format structure, as well as the ADPCM-XA style 4 bits-per-sample audio encoding and released a tool that listed all audio tracks on each SCD/SSCF, allowing to extract and decode to WAV, as well as reinserting taking a WAV as input (doing the audio compression/encoding for you). However, very shortly after this release (about the same week) it came to my attention that most of my modding research was being used by individuals who claimed it was theirs. In fact this is when I decided to stop contributing to the Dissdia modding scene and left it. Since the audio editor was pretty new, not many people got a hold of it and it's considered lost. I actually still have it lingering somewhere, but a few people did get it on time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5vjKrfy5uI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbiTLkEvyIw If you want an additional modding challenge, this is what was coming from my research right after: per-outfit SCD/SSCF, loaded from custom DLC files. This allowed different outfits to have different voices, which is nice when they are completely different characters! 😛 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysymPXANh0I Regards, ~Sky Edited Wednesday at 08:41 PM by SkyBladeCloud
