Material Usage Policy

We provide permission to use of materials related to DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY NT (beta version) (“Game”) in order to support the growth of a robust DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY NT community subject to the conditions below.

Please read carefully and agree to all of the following terms when posting copyrighted materials from the Game, the official DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY NT web site, and any other materials distributed through the official social network service accounts, onto non‐official websites including personal websites, blogs and social network service accounts (collectively “Copyrighted Materials”). Your use of any of these Copyrighted Materials will be deemed acceptance of the below terms.

1. Copyrighted Materials that Square Enix provides permission for you to use:

a. Text, information, images and videos that are used on the official Game website and social network services;

b. Text shown in‐game as well as screen shots and videos captured from the Game

c. Sound and music data used in the Game.

*You may not post any of the English voice data used in the Game.

*You may not add sound and voice data onto videos that are not from the Game. This means no mash‐ups with 3rd party content. However, you may combine materials together from within the Game, and/or overlay your own voice onto the material. You may not use anyone else’s voice.

*You may only use sound and music data with images and videos captured in the Game, namely, DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY NT (beta version). You may not post sound and music data independently of the Game. Any videos created for the primary purpose of listening to the music is not allowed.

Any usage (such as the creation of derivative works) not mentioned above, or outside the scope of the permission granted above, is not permitted.

2. Your use of the Copyrighted Materials

1) No Commercial Use: We do not permit our Copyrighted Materials to be used to make money or to gain any other financial benefit. That means you may not sell our game content as if it were your own, and you may not use it to help sell other products or services. Similarly, you may not use Copyrighted Materials if you require a paid subscription for people to view it or you otherwise make money or some other financial benefit from it. However, we do not mind if you monetize via advertising through partner programs like YouTube.com, Twitch.tv, Ustream.tv, or similar video sharing services. You may direct any video hosting websites to these terms if asked about the copyright and/or ownership of the Copyrighted Materials.

2) Attribution: If you use our materials, you need to mention that they belong to us by giving us credit. On the one hand, this protects us legally, and it is also nice to give credit to the creators. If the Copyrighted Materials include any credits or legal lines, you may not remove them.

If you use any images or videos from the Game, display the following in close proximity to each Copyrighted Materials:

*If multiple images and videos are being used together, you may display just 1 copy of these legal lines.

If you use any trademarks (such as the name FINAL FANTASY or DISSIDIA), enter the appropriate marks and provide credit as follows:

[Company name], [product name], [system name] are trademarks or registered trademarks of each respective company. Example. SQUARE ENIX and DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY NT are trademarks or registered trademarks of Square Enix.

3) Copyrighted Materials are provided “as is”: THE GAME IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITH NO GUARANTEE OR WARRANTY. SQUARE ENIX DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE COPYRIGHTED MATERIALS WILL NOT VIOLATE THE RIGHTS OF ANY THIRD PERSON. SQUARE ENIX WILL NOT COMPENSATE YOU FOR ANY DAMAGES (WHETHER FORESEEABLE OR NOT) THAT MAY OCCUR FROM THE USE OF ANY COPYRIGHTED MATERIALS.

4) Guidelines for the use of the Copyrighted Materials:

1. Do not use the Copyrighted Material in an offensive manner or to abuse/harm others;

2. Do not excessively edit or modify the Copyrighted Material so that it is unidentifiable;

3. Do not use the Copyrighted Materials to promote other products or services;

4. Do not alter the copyright or trademark information for the Copyrighted Materials;

5. Do not mix any Copyrighted Materials with materials from other games, publishers, or 3rd parties;

6. Immediately remove any unauthorized use of the Copyrighted Materials upon request from Square Enix. Square Enix reserves the right to object to any usage of the Copyrighted Materials in our sole discretion.

This Material Usage Policy is provided specifically for the beta version of DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY NT. A separate policy and applicable terms & conditions will be provided at a later date for the actual game, DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY NT (both physical and digital versions).
