For applying mod into the .iso using Dissidia Modding Suite

1. First you need to extract Dissidia Modding Suite.zip using WinRAR(this also applied to the others .rar and .zip files): https://www.win-rar.com/start.html?&L=0

2. Click on Dissidia Modding Suite.exe inside Debug folder to open it

pPD3sO7.png

3. To modified your .iso using Dissidia Modding Suite you need to extract it content first, so go to the "BigFile Packaging Tab" and click on "Select ISO File"

dqxfqvJ.png

then select your Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy .iso(USA, EUR, JPN or EUR UNDUB) and click on "Open"

M2WguNu.png

important note, for .iso modification you need use to a clean .iso, if you have an already modified .iso with mod inside it and want to use it for iso modification it will not works properly after you modified and play it on your PPSSPP or PSP, so use the clean .iso for .iso modification instead of an already modified one. also if you don't have a clean .iso and didn't know where to find it you can download it from here:

USA: https://cdromance.com/psp/dissidia-012-duodecim-final-fantasy-usa/

EUR: https://www.freeroms.com/roms/psp/dissidia_012_-_duodecim_final_fantasy_europe.htm

JPN: https://www.freeroms.com/rom/psp/dissidia_012_-_duodecim_final_fantasy_japan.htm

EUR UNDUB: https://cdromance.com/psp/dissidia-012-duodecim-final-fantasy/

then click on "Extract PACKAGE to" and choose the destination for the .iso files extraction and click on "OK"

RIe0Fv8.png

and wait for it to finish the extraction

rVMRywg.png

after it done, the extracted files will be placed inside a folder by the name @PACKAGE.BIN

kIsktoN.jpg

7XbjtfD.png

4. To applied the mod into your .iso, first you need to go inside @PACKAGE.BIN folder, find the original model.GMO and the original portrait.GIM and replace it with the mod model.GMO and the mod portrait.GIM, use this list for easy searching:

https://www.mediafire.com/file/ib1bqb7n8tef2ka/Dissidia_Modding_Suite_.GMO_%26_.GIM_list.zip/file

5RHLfZi.png

inside the "list" search and choose which Characters original model.GMO and original portrait.GIM you want find and replace

9uUqV3m.png

ioozkx2.png

JxCz3YU.png

then select and copy the name of original model.GMO and original portrait.GIM(this method also applies when using the others "list)

HKS4Xjm.png

i3NqoBy.png

once again go inside @PACKAGE.BIN folder and click on File Explorer "search box"

M9HlnQK.png

paste the name of original model.GMO and orginal portrait.GIM you want to find and replace into the"search box"

 0aWDUpn.png

now the files you looking for to replace will appear

xkx6tXr.png

UQfazMe.png

using this method make finding the original model.GMO and the original portrait.GIM you were looking for to replace a lot easier so you don"t have to searching through all the files in @PACKAGE.BIN folder

after that use Noesis to view the mod model.GMO and portrait.GIM and also the original model.GMO and portrait.GIM inside the @PACKAGE.BIN folder to see how it's looks like and know which Characters you should applied the mod to:

http://richwhitehouse.com/index.php?content=inc_projects.php&showproject=91

Abhs5n8.gif

98iFIuA.gif

To know which Characters you should applied the mod model.GMO and mod portrait.GIM to using Noesis, compare the mod model.GMO and the original model. GMO and find their similarity. for example:

RbLzMAM.gif

UoIdNXj.gif

the mod model.GMO has a animation similar to Jecht original model.GMO, that mean the mod model .GMO and mod portrait .GIM is for Jecht, if not it probably for the other Characters or models(Stage, Yuna Aeons, Weapons, etc) and yes it is possible to replace the other Character original model.GMO and portrait.GIM with the mod model.GMO and portrait.GIM(also applies to the others .GMO and .GIM)

then rename the mod model.GMO and the mod portrait.GIM

mlfLRfQ.jpg

to the name of the original model.GMO and the original portrait.GIM you want to replace

TarzLu1.jpg

and move it to @PACKAGE.BIN folder

TE8FDl7.png

and click on "Replace the files in the destination" to replace the original model.GMO and portrait.GIM inside the @PACKAGE.BIN folder with the rename mod model.GMO and portrait.GIM

UesewWs.png

go back to Dissidia Modding Suite and click on "Select source folder" and select the @PACKAGE.BIN folder and click on "OK"

1FF9v46.png

then click on "Save PACKAGE to" and choose the destination for the re-made package and click on "OK"

w57L93n.png

afterward you'll have the package files(PACKAGE.BIN and PACKAGE_INFO.BIN) that contains the mod model.GMO and portrait.GIM

sQyGn8w.png

important note, backup your clean Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy.iso by compress it as .zip using WinRAR before modifying it, this is optional if you want to keep it and re-use it for .iso modification without redownload the clean .iso from ROM/ISO websties

gitkHxw.gif

now you need to make your .iso appear inside UMDGen and modified your .iso by replacing the original PACKAGE.BIN and PACKAGE_INFO.BIN inside your .iso with the mod PACKAGE.BIN and PACKAGE_INFO.BIN using UMGen. click on "UMDGen.exe" to open UMDGen: https://www.brewology.com/downloads/download.php?id=10079&mcid=1

 XpYeH7M.png

inside UMDGen click on "Open"

lRHU6Nk.png

and select your Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy .iso then click on  "open" to put your .iso inside UMDGen

pEtIEWq.png

then in UMDGen Explorer tab

Y7SF3Q3.jpg

click on PSP_GAME, click on USRDIR and click on DATA

wsdBtV0.jpg

r3cxIrh.jpg

Pc3vI9K.jpg

after that, drag & drop your mod PACKAGE.BIN and PACKAGE_INFO.BIN files into UMDGEN to replace the original PACKAGE.BIN and PACKAGE_INFO.BIN

 HhujRcD.png

a popup will appear and it will ask you if you want to replace the original files, click on "Yes to All"

KeUxX3k.png

and click on "Save"  and "uncompressed (*.iso)" to modified the .iso

ta21HVR.png

then choose the name and location folder for your newly created modified .iso and click on "Save"

MXPi1lO.png

after the .iso modification is finish, close UMDGen and check the new .iso inside the folder you choose for the .iso modification, now you have a new modified .iso

aI6cOM3.png

5. All you need to do now is play and test the new .iso on your PPSSPP: https://www.ppsspp.org or PSP: https://www.wikihow.com/PSP

Done!

by the way dude, are there any tutorial for adding custom song to Dissidia 012?

to add any song to Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy you need to save the .mp3 as .wav with ATRAC3 132kbps, created .at3 from it then insert it into your .iso or use it to generate .edat version of it and move it to your dlc folder

http://www.mediafire.com/file/g2tatk09nrrgs6s/Dissidia_Duodecim_Music_Converter_Pack.zip/file

1. So first click on atrac3.exe within the ATRAC3 Codecs folder and install the .at3 codec

2. Once that is done, you need to click on gwave558.exe or gwave570.exe and install Goldwave

3. Launch the program and register offline(use the provided keygen to generate a license key)

4. Move atrac3.acm and atrac3.reg within the ATRAC3 Codecs folder into C:\Windows\SysWOW64 and Run the atrac3.reg, this will adding info to the registry for Goldwave to save .mp3 as .wav with ATRAC3 132kbps

5. Inside Goldwave click on "Open", search for the .mp3 you want use and double click it, now all you have to do is edit the .mp3 however you want in Goldwave then go to the "File" tab and click on "Save as", in "Save Sound As" file selector click on "Save as type" drop-down list and choose "Wave (*.wav)" then on "Attributes" drop-down list choose "ATRAC3 44. 100 kHz, Stereo" and click on "Save" to save .mp3 as .wav with ATRAC3 132kbps

6. Click on GWAT3.exe and drag & drop the .wav with ATRAC3 132kbps into GWAT3 and click on "Goldwave" to create .at3

7. Use Dissidia Modding Suite and UMDGen to insert the .at3 into your .iso or use ddff dlc toolkit to generate .edat version of the .at3 and move the generated .edat inside the ddff dlc toolkit dlc folder to your dlc folder(memstick\PSP\GAME\ULUS10566 or memstick\PSP\GAME\ULES01505 if you use the EUR version and memstick\PSP\GAME\NPJH50377 for the JPN version)

first, put the mods inside the @PACKAGE.BIN folder and patch the .iso(read the guide above)
second, compress the modified ISO into .rar/.zip using WinRAR(Trial or Crack version) and upload it to a Cloud Storage Websites. Then copy the file link and share it with your friends or acquaintances

hello everyone, sorry if I ask such a stupid question but I wanted to know if there is a way to mod the icons of the game such as icons in the gallery using the dissidia modding suite because with the classic method of the emulator the result is not the best. Thank you and have a good day.

I want to make my own music mod, so I tried using the software known as Goldwave
      http://www.mediafire.com/file/u8q6xjirntdl051/gwave570.exe/file
Atrac3 codec to make a wav with Atrac3 attributes file
      http://www.mediafire.com/file/n3e0axg2el5rblh/ATRAC3.zip/file
GWAT3 to change the extension into .at3 in order to use it for making my own music mod
      http://www.mediafire.com/file/lj3ka5eizya8iqg/GWAT3.rar/file
      using this method
      http://www.mediafire.com/file/052a0yff882eao8/DLC_Listings.txt/file
      or using UMDGen
      https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/1218/
      http://www.mediafire.com/file/qzafqhg7twn22ei/UMDGen_.AT3_list.txt/file
but when I try save the mp3 file in the .wav format, I don't see the Atrac3 attributes, I installed the atrac3 driver, restarted my computer then installed GoldWave, it still didn't work, I then tried it the other way around and it still didn't show. What should I do to solve this problem?

This has been long overdue but I feel it's better late than never

I'm just copy pasting what I told another member on how to mod,  So some stuff may not match

      Things you need before starting
      - Noesis
      - Milkshape 3d (Preferably version 1.8.5)
      - GMOTool
      - PNG2GIM
      - Notepad++
      - The character GMOs

      ---------------------------------------------------------
      Getting started

Use Noesis to export the base character .gmo into .smd
for example, if you're gonna use Lightning as a base, export her t-posed .gmo.

Import the base model and the custom model in Milkshape.
after importing the t-posed model, import the custom model you are gonna rig on. I'll be using Thanos and Exdeath as an example

After that, go to tool > scale all (by %10000)

Then delete the original model so that the custom model will be left

Now, if you had any experience with rescaling, try to fit the model into the skeleton by rotating the vertices of his limbs and such
And then you may proceed to rig the model.
      ---------------------------------------------------------
      Rigging
I lost the file for Thanos so I'm gonna use Nero instead for the rest of the tutorial

Anyway, to rig, you just need to select the vertices of the bone you want to rig on
Like for example, select all the vertices of the head and then assign it to the head bone

After rigging, you need to resize it back to the original size,

You can test the model's rigging by importing the animations into it,
preferably .psa if you're using Milkshape

It takes a long while to load

click the anim button at the bottom right to view the animation

When you're satisfied with the result, export the model to .smd
the uvs will be flipped like this

Now export it again to .fbx while flip uvs is checked

      ---------------------------------------------------------

      MDS Editing

The final part of the tutorial is the .mds editing

First you need to convert the .fbx to .mds using fbxconv

Then the base .gmo to .mds using gmoconv

      Open both .mds in notepad++

In your custom character's .mds, replace all of the "rootnode" with "root" and "png" with "gim"

Go to your base character's .mds and go to model-0

Below that, look for this bone (differs per character)

then delete the blendoffset, blendbones, and drawpart, leaving behind only the ParentBone and Translate

Do the same with the "wepx" bones (i.e. wep0, wep1, etc.) and the bones in model _000A

Look for the trans_include bone inside model-0 and copy everything above it

Then paste it over the trans_include bone inside your custom character's .mds

Now go to the material section of your custom .mds and remove this bit from every material

Now dont forget to convert your png textures to gim using png2gim
you can only have 1 png at a time inside the folder or it wont convert properly

Rename the new .gim to be the same as your png file

After moving the .gims inside your GMOtool folder, use gmotool - to gmo

-s is a parameter to change the size of your model, (-s 0.8 means that the model size will be reduced by 80% and so on)

Now you can try checking the .gmo in Noesis to see if the animations are properly working

Please note your gmo size must not exceed 2.4mb
